Paradise

Cheryl and George are sitting on a piece of Paradise and thankfully share it with all of us. The views of Lake Okanagan from the deck are stunning. You are greeted with a smile, a glass of wine and some nibbles. The breakfast is well beyond the usual Continental Breakfast offered at most places. The guests provide interesting conversation over morning coffee. We have returned over and over again which should tell you how much we love going up to Summerland and stay at the Blue Iris.

Extra special !

Cheryle and George are the perfect hosts. On arrival we were immediately made to feel at home and were welcomed onto their terrace with a glass of local wine, cheeses and fresh fruit. The views from their beautifully kept home are outstanding. Cheryle and George are very knowledgeable about the area and very willing to suggest the best places to eat, wine estates to visit, etc.  Our bedroom was very comfortable and the bathroom was superb. We loved George's healthy and inventive breakfasts and the great conversations we had around the table. The only downside was that we hadn't booked the Blue Iris for longer! Thank you for some lovely memories!

Excelllence

WOW !!! The Blue Iris is a beautiful property with an outstanding view. George & Cheryle were warm, wonderful hosts with great knowledge of the area. Every morning we enjoyed a fantastic breakfast and felt like family. The room was spacious and comfortable with a beautiful ensuite. We will 100% return again and again.

Thanks

I can't say enough about how wonderful you were as host and hostess. Didn't seem to get tired of us after 10 days!!! That in itself is something!!!!! You were like family. And the scenery, and the comfortable bed!!  You two have a gift for receiving people into your home.  We keep telling everyone about you. And George, besides being an excellent cook you are funny !!  Best to you both.

Cheryle and George have created a stunning home away from home for guests, and the house is immaculate. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and at home - it really is like being welcomed into their home to stay with them - not as merely someone staying separately from them. We were welcomed with a glass of wine and - because we arrived a little late our delicious appetizers were postponed until the evening after - with another lovely glass of local wine. Both times Cheryle and George sat with us and discussed the local area, politics, travel and life in general! George made a delicious breakfast every day, which was taken on the veranda with them and other guests. Fresh juices made in house and a choice of tea and coffee including their own blend of chamomile. The location is excellent with a stunning view across the lake. The veranda is a sunny spot with comfortable chairs to sit and read or while away the time with some local wine. Near to a couple of vineyards, and within easy reach of others in Summerland and the wider Okanagan region. Extremely comfortable bedroom with a large bathroom, with everything thought of down to spare toiletries. A very relaxing place which we'd love to return to.

Outstanding!

Our hosts at the Blue Iris B&B - Cheryle and George - were fantastic - so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed conversations over breakfast and their knowledge of the area was very helpful in making decisions for winery visits and other points of interest.

Their home is beautiful with amazing lake views, and lush surroundings with visits by local wildlife. Our accommodation was spacious including the ensuite spa-like bathroom. The lake and mountain views were fully visible from the comfy king-size bed. Their breakfasts were healthy, inventive and delicious!

The best part of all is that we feel like we have made new friends of Cheryle and George and will make sure we book with them next time we travel to the south Okanagan. "

Old-world charm

It's been a while since I've stayed in a b&b where the hosts take the time to chat with guests. Cheryle and George are very hospitable hosts. Their home is immaculate and well decorated with a beautiful garden full of flowers. The breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend and would stay at Blue Iris again 🙂

A Special Place Overlooking the Lake

Host Cheryle made our stay most enjoyable. Her warm hospitality, kindness, and little extras ( a welcome glass of wine) and wonderful breakfasts gives this B&B a warm and personable touch. In our view, this sets its value way above any hotel. Our experience was perfect and it felt like we were at home. It was fun having those evening chats and telling stories while on the deck overlooking the lake - a fond memory that will always be cherished. Looking forward to our return visit soon, thank you again. ♥ (Sept. 26-29, 2018)

Wonderful stay!

I stayed at Cheryle and George's bed and breakfast for three nights. Their home is immaculate, very nicely decorated, and inviting. Cheryle gave me a tour of their grounds which was lovely. They have a variety of flowers and trees. My dietary restrictions were well accommodated at breakfast. I thought the wine and cheese upon arrival was a nice touch. I enjoyed my conversations with Cheryle and George. They are super hosts who will go the extra mile for their guests. In fact, I enjoyed my stay so much that I have booked myself another couple of nights!

Best B&B By Far!

Stunning views; supremely comfortable accommodation (in the Maple Room); and delightful hosts and breakfast companions! Cheryle and George – thank you for welcoming us into your beautiful home and making our stay in the Okanagan so memorable: we couldn’t have chosen a nicer place to spend that part of our return trip to BC and Alaska, after a fifteen year absence.
