Fall is a “slowing down” time for us. We are not as busy inside as we are in the summer. We sleep in longer and we tend to have a leisurely coffee before we get going in the day. But where we do spend our time is cleaning up the garden in preparation for winter. This is no small task! The weather is really our guide on what we can do. Frosty mornings mean its time to cut back the ornamental grasses, flowering shrubs, etc. The deck planters tend to last the longest as they get the most and hottest sun of the day. I was thankful to have the help of my grandson Josh to do the tremendous job of leaf pick-up this fall! A powerful leaf blower also helped to make the job go faster. Thanks Josh!
